Career Change:
I’m a Life Coach…
In 2019, my position at a major Fortune 100 Company where I spent more than 20 years was eliminated. I could have stayed and bid on another position but instead I RE-TRIED…oops correction– RETIRED. I decided to pursue a passion – helping others find their next steps. Thus, began my third successful career as a Professional Life Coach. I am focused on helping others like myself navigate through the world of shifts and changes. How to exercise that inner resilience and move forward after external circumstances which appear outside our control find their North Star.
Coach Marilyn the Professional Life Coach – Why Not? It is a natural fit for one who has spent their entire life successfully navigating the unexpected and the ability to bounce back from change and transition. At 53, the greatest life change was losing my husband of 29 years. I became a widow and mother of two college age sons unexpectedly. This of course was my first experience with grief on this level. Through my faith in God and a team of family and friends, I survived and am still surviving. How? I made sure that I continued to pray, breath and live my life on my terms. Setting goals and expectations for myself and using my inner strength - which some days I had to grab from my toe nails to the top hair on my head to exercise. What was the greatest lesson learned from my experience? STAY IN THE MOMENT! Don’t look back too far for answers to would of or could of - is the past. The only thing in the past is the story. What will be - is the future and only God knows what will be. We can plan and create our goals and dreams but we live them each and every day. As a life coach I have learned to practice this more and more. If you would like to understand the benefits and practices of staying in the moment, please contact me.
